Interestingly the TOI has also taken the topic as for their view and counterview column. And the counterview of Mr Mukul Sharma says that stunting a growth of Ashley is a violation of Human Rights.
According to him there are possibilites of finding a cure for the kind of brian diease Ashley has in the near future….How long will that be is still unknown even to him….. And till then the poor girl was supposed to suffer silently lying down according to Mr Sharma…..
Anyways this is all beside the point…The questions that arise in my mind are:
1. Is Human Rights more important than the parental Rights?
2. Do parents who have given birth to a child have no rights to decide whats best for the child? Especially in this case where it is clear that the girl is not able to talk, walk, swallow food?
3. Who are we to condemn the act?
Com’on ILanders what do you think???
Is it fair to the family????
PLEASE LEAVE THE FAMILY ALONE, IF YOU CAN’T DO ANYTHING FOR THEM.
